Gentry's Farm Fieldtrip
What a gorgeous day to have a field trip! We had a great time, even though I was still feeling the after effects of the stomach virus. I almost didn't make it, but once we got there, I started feeling better. Will had a great trip and has really been looking forward to it. I didn't know it would come so soon, but he is already acting embarrassed when I show him any kind of affection in front of his friends. :-( The little boy who always had to sit in my lap, hold my hand and give me hugs WILL NOT have anything to do with me in front of his friends. sniff, sniff. He did, however want to sit by Ms. Pam and snuggle up to her. What??? I'm so glad he loves her so much. The boys had a ball wrestling in the field and I couldn't believe how rough they were with each other. I guess boys will be boys! He picked out the perfect pumpkin and we picked out one for Walker too. I love Fall!!

Go Titans!

The boys are really starting to show their love for football and the Titans. We found these little jerseys at Walmart and the boys didn't want to take them off for 3 days. We were at Walmart the other day and they had a Titans area with paper plates, napkins, t-shirts, etc and Will just had to get Len some plates and napkins to eat on for the games. He was so proud to show them to his daddy. I love the simple mind of a child. I really wish I could think that way!! Somedays I long to play dolls, barbies, dress up, sit quietly and color, paint little finger asnd toenails and do all of the girly stuff. But as I sit here with both boys snuggled in my lap, eating popsicles and watching Sc00by D00, I wouldn't trade these boys who love to get dirty, love sports, cars and trucks, playing in the mud, wrestling, kisses, snuggles and "mommy, your the prettiest mommy in the entire universe" for anything in the world. Who knows, maybe there's a girl in our future. The jury is still out on that one.

Sneak a Peak and First day of Preschool
Sneak a Peak is always the Friday before school starts. The kids get to come to the school and see their classroom, meet their teacher and classmates and they get a little treat.
Will and his new teacher, Ms. Pam. He is really happy this year and is doing great and learning alot. His class is small this year and Ms. Pam is so sweet and patient.

Walker and his teachers, Ms. Rachel and Ms. Sarah. He loves HHP. He is in the same class with his favorite girl Lizzy again and they are two peas in a pod. They had to separate them after an unsuccessful naptime on the first day of school. He is learning the color red and the square shape this month and has a little bible verse to memorize. It is so cute.

First day of school. I didn't have time to get pictures before we left so I took these when we got home that afternoon. The boys were in silly moods so it was hard to get a good picture.

Here is my first day post from last year. What a difference a year makes!

Longest Post Ever~Summer Highlights-Part 1
I think this is the longest post I've ever had. I'm going to have to do it in three parts, b/c there's just to much to fit in one post. We've had a great summer, but we're ready for a little bit of routine in our lives. The fall brings so many things to do and so much excitement. We've had great fun, bad luck, and times of sadness when my Papa Jack died in July, but overall the summer was full of fun.
SueSue (my mom) came up for a few days earlier this summer. She took the boys on a walk on a Saturday morning and they came back with this gigantic thing. They came across a yard sale and SueSue couldn't resist the low price. We named him Ernie and he has provided lots of entertainment around here.

Mama's boy

Quick visit with the cousins as they came through Nashville

Playing dress up with Ann Welch. She wanted to try on every Halloween costume we've ever had. So cute. She could fit into Walker's size 18 month Woody costume.

My cutie pie niece

Having a spend the night party with Ann Welch

Karate with one of his best buddies Will Thomas

Notice little brother running through the background. He was NOT supposed to run on the blue floor. It was hard to keep him quiet and entertained during karate lessons. He wanted to be taking lessons too!

Potty training boot camp when Will was in Montgomery. We're still working on it!

Papa brought Will home from Montgomery and spent the weekend with us. This picture is so hilarious to me with Walker picking his nose. He's going to kill me when he gets older.

Walker LOVES his papa! They are mini me's of each other. You wouldn't believe how much Walker looks like my dad's baby pictures.

The redneck baby pool has provided lots of entertainment this summer.

Getting ready to light the sparklers for Independence Day.

My poor dad was about to have a heart attack when we let Walker have a sparkler. My parents were always very cautious of fireworks and I can still remember them telling us about someone that shot their eye out with a firework and had to have a glass eye. NICE.

Watching the fire truck firework that daddy lit.

I love my dad. :-)

We spent a lot of time at the pool this summer. The boys couldn't get enough of the water.

Enjoyed the 4th of July with great friends.

Baby boy is growing up, but he's still my baby.

Both scratching mosquito bites at the same time.

Running after the parachute man fireworks. This picture is blurry because they were running so fast.

Caught one!

One of my favorite friends!

Getting dark~more fun to be had!

Pool time with friends.

5TH BIRTHDAY BREAKFAST! I can't believe this boy is 5. He is so precious to me and I pray every night that the Lord will help me be a better mom to him. He has the sweetest heart of any little boy I know (of course, I'm a little biased). He LOVES any kind of animal or bug. He could be entertained for hours if he has caught a bug or worm. We took him to the pet store and he got to hold a parakeet and the look on his face was just priceless. This is a little boy who sang his brother to sleep tonight, but can aggravate him to tears. He is my helper and is so proud when he helps me find something I've lost or tells me when Walker is up to no good. I have to tell you that he looks out for Walker like an adult. He loves popsicles and ice cream and definitely has my sweet tooth. He loves to learn about the human body and is excited to be starting soccer and pre-k 5 at HHP.

I'm five mom! I can finally tell everyone I know!

Grandma Nancy came to celebrate Will's big day!

What's the surprise???

Wow!

A new bike! It's about time. Will gladly gave Walker his old bike that day.

The watch I've been wanting!

Walker didn't get short changed thanks to Grandma Nancy.

Trying out his new helmet and bike.

Walker trying out his new/old bike. Poor 2nd child always getting the hand-me-downs.

Look at me! I can go all the way down the street by myself. We are such worry warts that we never let him ride ahead of us, but now that he's five, he can go to the end of the street as long as we can still see him.

A sight I see often.

Will, Len and Grandma Nancy went to see Toy Story 3 on his birthday. He also got some of the TS characters to bring with him.

Hey mom, did you know I'm 5?

Will picked out his birthday cake. Chocolate cake with chocolate icing and of course, it had to be Batman.

This cake is yuuuuumy!

Exhausted boys after a long day!

I thought I could fit our summer into one post, but it's not going to happen. Stay tuned for part 2 whenever I get the motivation.
