Our week WITHOUT kids!

Rewind to last Friday when I had an emotional breakdown after Walker clogged the toilet for the 4th or 5th time with an entire roll of toilet paper each time. I got very angry at him and lost my temper and then I just sobbed and sobbed because I felt so bad and so overwhelmed with never having any time to get things done, etc. I was just having a complete pity party for myself. At this time, my Aunt Kay called and I couldn't quit crying. Two hours later, I got a phone call from my mom and she told me that Kay had gotten sitters for my grandparents and she was on her way to Nashville. My mom came here, watched the boys, did laundry, cooked, etc. On Saturday night I came downstairs and Len and my mom were having a little convo. My mom told me that she wanted to take the boys back with her to Montgomery for the week. I couldn't say YES fast enough. I've NEVER been away from Walker for one night yet alone more than 6 or 7 hrs. So, thank you mom and dad, thank you Aunt Kay!!! This was my mom's only week off ALL summer and she so graciously took the boys. They have had the best time and I don't think they've missed me or Len at all. Len has gotten to study uninterrupted and we've gotten to remember what life was like before kids. I have been SO busy that I've hardly sat down or gotten on the computer. (THIS POST IS FOR MY MOM AND DAD to see what all I've been able to accomplish during my KID FREE!!! week! I'm not trying to brag, just excited to get some things done that I've wanted to do for a long time, but not been able to with the kids). I'm REALLY glad I don't have BEFORE pictures of the closets, pantry and toys, but I do have the afters. Thank you so much for always been so unselfish mom and dad!!! You've helped me regain my sanity and Len and I have had the best week! I did start missing my little ones today and I can't wait to give them tons of hugs and kisses!

Memorial Day Weekend-Longest Post Ever

Sorry for the longest post ever...I couldn't narrow down my pictures. We had a great time in M. Here are a few pics of the kids on my parent's back porch. They love riding the plasma cars and playing ball in the grass.

Fun lake trip-Len has forbidden me to put pictures of him on the Zip line. He is all about getting in shape now and running and doing sit-ups. Anyone tried P90X? We are both in desperate need to get in shape. That would be fun for us to do together since we can't run together b/c he is so tall

Here are a few pictures of Copeland's baseball game that we went to. I didn't get to watch much of it b/c I was chasing Walker all over the place, but they WON! Yea!!

was great. We went to Montgomery and it was especially special because we haven't been there since DECEMBER!!!!! My sister and I are very close and talk on the phone several times a day most days so that has been hard not getting to see her and her kids. Will said, I don't even remember what AW looks like! I've gotten to see my parents a bunch. I'm learning that if you have children that play sports, your life is pretty much dedicated to that sport and nothing else. I can't say I'm ready for that. For now, I'm just going to enjoy my pre-school children. Even though it's hard, we still get to be homebodies, which we love!

My brother also came to town and it was great to see him. He was so sweet to the kids (he is not a kid person at all, which is funny b/c my sister and I are). Walker really loved Edward and kept giving him kisses. There weren't alot of ducks on the pond and we didn't even feed them. My mom says that means alligators are in there. The boys had a blast on the plasma cars. It looks like we're going to have to buy those in the future. Walker really loved them and he was SO much easier this time. He didn't run to the water ever second. My dad was swinging with Walker on the porch swing and it collapsed to the ground. SCARY! We've always talked about that happening, but I'm glad I didn't see it. I slept all weekend. I was SO lazy. I always get so lazy when I come to my parent's house.

We also went to Lake Martin on Saturday. David's parents have a boat and we had a great time. Walker slept almost the entire time. Will loved swimming, but would only try the tube thing once and a ton of water got in it and he got spooked. He is my cautious child. He likes to know exactly what he is getting into. If it's not 100% secure, he's not willing to try it. My mom always buys the best vegetables from the farmer's market so she cooked a great meal for us. Here are a few pictures from our trip. My sister got ahold of my camera for some of my mom's back porch pics and showed me a little more about manual set up on my camera. I have a long way to go after seeing hers vs. mine!
