Bath time

I hesitated on whether or not I should post this video. It does show a little bit of Walker's "naked" but it's just to cute not to post.

This is Walker's cheesy smile. It COMPLETELY melts my heart every time he smiles at us this way. He makes a little sound with it like he is blowing his nose. (That sounds gross, but it's the only way I can describe the sound).


I took this picture of the boys yesterday when they were both napping in our bed.

Christmas in Montgomery

Walker always thinks Allison is me and reaches for her. He figures it out once she is holding him, but I think this is hilarious. We really do look alike, although we didn't when we were little.

I treasure all of the sweet pictures my sister captures! I love this picture of Walker.

Uncle Edward and cousin Ford playing the Wii. Len got his fair share of playing time. I was a good little wifie and let him play a ton!

AW got a Barbie Jeep from Santa and buddy, this girl is he-l on wheels! She is not kidding around when she drives this thing and it scared Will to death. He made sure to buckle his seat belt and he finally wised up and decided it wasn't safe to ride with her anymore! ;)

This is the way Walker eats cheerios or anything that he can get his hands on. It is so cute. Half the time he misses his mouth, but he has discovered the joys of food!

We left for Montgomery on Christmas Eve. For some reason, every time we go to Montgomery something disastrous happens on the interstate. It drives me crazy! What should have been a four our trip took us almost 6! For the first 2 hours, we drove in a torrential downpour of rain and Len could hardly even see to drive. Then, we sat in stand still traffic for what seemed like an hour because a tree had fallen down in the road. When you have kids, a normal road trip is never normal. We had to stop a few times for different reasons and Walker was NOT happy most of the way down there. I was really excited about taking a little nap on the way but it's hard to nap with a crying baby. We finally made it to Montgomery and had a great time. I didn't take a single picture with my camera while I was down there, but my sister did so I am stealing some of her pictures to put in this post. We brought Will's bike down and he had so much fun riding it. It was 80 degrees the day after Christmas so we spent a lot of time outdoors. I ate entirely too much! My mom always gets a friend's mother to make a red velvet cake and it is so delicious!! I think I ate half the cake and I'm paying for it now. As always, we had a great time with the cousins. Ann Welch (We elch) as Will calls her now and Will fought like brother and sister the whole time, but were so sad when they had to leave each other. I even talked Ann Welch into spending the night with us one night. She thought she was getting to go back to Nashville with us and when she found out we weren't going to Nashville, she said " I fink I might need to go back home to my mommy." I just acted like I didn't hear her and she did pretty good. Will got the movie Walle for Christmas and they watched it several times.

Christmas Morning

Our "Christmas morning" was actually Christmas eve, but Will and Walker were none the wiser. When we woke up, our power was out and we were a little worried about how we were going to handle that, but when Will woke up, he didn't even mention Santa or presents. I was pretty surprised after everything we had done the night before, but he didn't even remember. How strange!! but it worked for us because it bought us a little bit of time, hoping the power would come back on. We stayed upstairs for awhile and didn't mention Santa and I finally asked Will if he remembered who came to our house last night and he still didn't think about Santa. When we told him, he was ready to go downstairs so Len went ahead and opened all of the blinds so we would at least have a little bit of light. Will loved his new bike and train set. It took him awhile to really start opening his gifts, but we had a fun morning and he was so happy with his new toys. Walker loved playing with the wrapping paper. Our "Christmas Eve"

Tonight is our "Christmas Eve." Santa will be making a special early delivery at the Adcock house since we are going to Montgomery tomorrow afternoon and Santa just couldn't load Will's toys up to go to his grandparent's house. We ate our family Christmas dinner in the dining room, which was Will's request and he got to pick out which Christmas plate he would like to eat off of. He chose the Santa Claus plate. We gave the boys a bath and put on their Christmas PJs and let them open their present from their Aunt Heather, Uncle Ward and cousins, Gage, Davis and Tru. They loved their presents!! Walker especially liked eating the wrapping paper and Will played and played with his new tool set. Thank you! After we opened presents, we put reindeer food outside and baked Santa some chocolate chip cookies. What a fun night! Will is still awake watching his favorite show, Wow Wow Wubbzy (he is obsessed) and eating popcorn. I have a feeling it is going to be hard getting him to go to sleep. I can still remember being so excited the night before Christmas that I couldn't sleep. My sister and I would plan to stay awake all night and try to "catch" Santa in the act, but we never made it. We would always wake up at the crack of dawn and beg my parents to go see what we got. It is so much fun to have children and this is the first year that Will really understands and is excited about Christmas. I know there are a lot of pictures but I just couldn't help it!

Walker is spoiled by daddy

This is why my children won't sleep in their beds! HA HA Len has really spoiled Walker by holding him while he naps. I always put him down, but Len got off early today and held Walker while I made dinner and I walked in and thought this was the sweetest picture of him with his arms up by his ears. He is getting his second tooth and it has really been hard on him. He has gotten the worst case of diaper rash from this teething business and he is not handling it well. We have tried every remedy before calling the pediatrician and she told us to by Lotriman (which is for athlete's foot). I never would have thought of that but it seems to be working. She also told me to blow dry his bottom with a hair dryer every time I change his diaper, which has also been pretty comical. We have had a week this past week! Will had an ear infection (his first ever), I had pink eye and a cold, and Walker has had yucky eyes, runny nose and all of the above. This always seems to happen over the holidays, but we are all better now!

Walker is 8 months

Another month has flown by and that puts us closer and closer to Walker's first birthday! This child is a BUSY bee.

He is in to EVERYTHING and crawling EVERYWHERE! He has been crawling for a month now and I sure wasn't expecting that. It's funny, because I just assumed he would do everything around the same time as Will, but he is his own self and has had his own timing for everything. I LOVE IT!
Here are a few things that he is doing and getting into. This is for me to remember one day.

crying a horrible, sad, pitiful cry when his big brother takes a toy away from him, knowing he will get it back when he cries that way
is reaching out for us

is spoiled rotten with lots of hugs, love and kisses.

Sunday Pics

Here are a few pictures of the boys after church on Sunday. I thought they turned out pretty cute. Walker just got his first tooth so he is drooling pretty bad. He loves to stand up against the couch. Our couch is starting to look BAD!

Gingerbread Houses at BHCC

Last Sunday we had a great time making gingerbread houses at church. We let Will design his project completely on his own, much to his father's dismay! Ha ha

Walker ate so many of the graham crackers that were meant for the gingerbread houses. He loved them! It was his first taste of graham crackers and they did not disappoint.

Breakfast with Santa

On Saturday, we had Breakfast with Santa at our church. This is always fun! We all meet in the auditorium and sing Christmas songs and then our preacher reads a Christmas book to the kids. Then, we all head to the gym for donut holes and pigs in a blanket and eat. We usually have to wait in a very long line to get our picture made, but Len helped so we got an early number. After breakfast, the kids go to Santa's Workshop and there are different tables with crafts. After Breakfast with Santa, we went to see the live reindeer in Brentwood, which was fun. I didn't get a very good picture, just Will looking at the reindeer. Will is really wondering why Santa isn't at the North Pole and how he can be at the mall and at church. We have had to come up with some whoppers to get around that!

Snow Day

We got a pretty good snow last week. It was so beautiful and Will loved playing in it with his friends Ella and Ava. It's unusual for it to snow here in December, and definitely not as exciting since I'm not teaching this year, but we still had fun. Walker was all bundled up and didn't really seem to notice.

Santa Claus

These are all out of order. I don't know why this keeps happening, but I don't have the patience to fix it. We went to see Santa Claus at The Green HIlls Mall a few weeks ago. Walker was very interested in Santa's beard and couldn't quit staring at him. It was very cute. Will acted a little shy but was very eager to jump in Santa's lap~a big change from last year. I also added a few other pictures of the boys and one of Walker with his cousin Ann Welch. This was taken over Thanksgiving but I'm just now getting around to posting it. I think Walker and Ann Welch could pass as brother and sister in this picture. My parents have this stuffed dog that my dad named Heartbreak Hotel and Walker loved this dog.
