Walden Farms

Will and Frances feeding the goats.

Six cuties!

All the kids were fighting over who got to pour the water out. This picture kind of sums it up.

This is the second time we have been to Walden Farms this year but I forgot my camera last time. We went yesterday with some friends and it was fahreezing!!!!!! The kids had a ball though. We didn't get to go with daddy this year so no family picture.

Carvin' a Jack-O-Lantern

*For some reason, blogger uploaded my pictures in the wrong order. That is so annoying!

This weekend we carved our pumpkin. Will has been begging to carve his pumpkin and we put it off as long as possible because of our hot October and not wanting the pumpkin to rot. Walker did not get to join the festivities because it was time for bed but we did get a quick picture of both boys before the pumpkin carving began. We had a little pumpkin for Walker and a big one for Will. He wanted a mad face on the little one and a happy face on the big one. I'm not sure if there is any hidden meaning behind that or not. ;)

Walker is 6 months old

I've had a hard time posting this because I just can't believe my baby is already 6 months old. I know I sound really like one of those moms that can't let go but this could be our last and it has gone by so much faster than Will's first year.
At 6 months old Walker
is sitting up
still rolling from stomach to back, but not back to stomach
laughing, cooing and shrieking all the time.
sleeping through the night again (this has just happened in the last week! Yea!!)
had his six month shots and didn't even cry with the first one.
is starting to cry when we leave the room.
loves to peak at us over the rails in his crib. It is so cute.
loves to suck on my chin.
is very cuddly.
has been fed bananas and sweet potatoes and acts like we just made him suck a lemon with every bite.
weighs 18 lb 12 oz (a whopping three pounds less than his big brother did at this age) and is 26 3/4 inches long.
we just can't get enough of this baby and he has our hearts~all three of them.

Fall Weather is Finally here!

We have had the most beautiful fall weekend! It is cool and breezy with lots of sunshine and we are loving it. Len took Will to the Lipscomb football game last night and he had the best time with his buddy Brody. We are having a relaxing weekend around the house. It's so nice to have weekends like this. Here are a few pictures of the boys this week.

My sister will have a heart attack whe she sees this picture of Walker wearing jeans:) Sorry Allison, I couldn't find any pants to match!

Having lunch with Brooke and Frances. Will informed me that Libby was cute and he wants to marry her, I don't know if Brent would approve.

Walker sitting up in his bed.

There he goes.

Pulling my hair. Ouch!!!!

Dr. Will with his Auburn jersey that Copeland gave him.

Walker and Rice Cereal

=not a good match! I have only given him rice cereal a handful of times. He usually seems to enjoy it but I fed him the other day and he ate so much. He acted like he just couldn't get enough so I decided to give him some green beans as well. This was around noon. We went to a birthday party 2 1/2 hours later and I was holding him and he projectile vomited everything he ate~two times at the park and then again when we got home. I was completely soaked. It was more than adult throw up and it was nasty. I'm used to him constantly spitting up, but when it's green and chunky it is so much worse. I decided to hold off on the green beans until a later time.

Not appreciating the rice cereal today.

Trying to grab my camera. This baby is grabbing everything including my hair and it hurts!

Yummy rice cereal all over his face.

Pumpkin Costume

I found this one at Target online for sale for $9.09 so I might just bite the bullet and buy it if no one has one I can borrow. It just looks very hot for our October Tennessee weather. Maybe we will see some cooler days soon!!

Will insists on being a ghost for Halloween. I don't know why, but that is what he wants to be. This is the first year that he understands Halloween and that he is choosing what he wants to be. I hate to cover up his cute face, but I want him to get to decide. He has also decided that Walker will be a pumpkin. Does anyone have an old baby pumpkin costume that they aren't using anymore and I could borrow? I hate to buy one~I'm so stinkin' cheap!

End of Season Soccer Party

I ordered this adorable Owl Iron on Applique that Walker is wearing from Etsy. I bought the onesie at Walmart for $3.50. It is the Geranimals brand. The Owl was only $5.00. I ordered Will a matching one and now I have cute matching outfits for the boys for a great price. I also ordered them a little Elephant in an adorable Amy Butler fabric. It's a blue/brown polka dot. Click here for Tadpole Creations, the etsy shop I ordered these from. She has so many cute designs. I was unsure about how they would wash but I haven't had a problem at all.

I think Will had to seriously go pee in this picture and he did not want to take the time to go. Who wants to go potty when it's time to play? That is why he's "holding himself" in this picture.

Will and his buddy Jackson

The Highs had our soccer team (Go Yellow Team) over for an end of the season party. The kids all wore their jerseys one last time and had a ball playing in the High's wonderful backyard. They had pizza and a soccer cake and the team gave Len two VERY generous gift certificates to some yummy restaurants. Thanks everyone! That was so kind!

This is what our bed....

is starting to look like every morning.

On another note-I wanted to remember some funnies Will has said lately.
I was nursing Walker the other day and when I was done, I hadn't hooked myself back together if you know what I mean and Will said, "Mommy, you better lock that thing back up (talking about my bra) or all the milk is going to spill out."

This might be TMI but I was a little stubbly in the legs yesterday and Will said, "Mommy, Why are you not soft there?"

We kept our sweet friend Brody today and tonight so Craig and Candie could go out on a date. We try to flip flop every now and then so we don't have to pay a babysitter and I casually mentioned to Will that Brody's mommy and daddy needed to go on a date because mommies and daddies need to be alone sometimes. We were saying our prayers tonight ( when Will prays, he has started telling God everything he has done that day) and he said, Dear God, Cank you for this day, cank you for mommy and daddy and Will and Walker and for Brody and his mommy and daddy went on a date tonight. In Jesus' name, Amen. Len and I were both praying with him and we open our eyes and Will had his tightly shut and we just looked at each other and giggled. I'm sure God gets a good laugh from the precious things children say to him.

Will went with me to Walmart one night last week (I can't stand going there and I only go there if I HAVE to) so we were walking across the street and a car was coming and I said to Will, "Go" so we could get across before the car came and he looked at the car and in a perfect little adult voice said, "Go, idiot" I guess we need to start watching what we say in moments of road rage.

Montgomery

Photos compliments of my sister-visit her blog to view them full size.

We went to Montgomery this weekend and had a delightful time. Will had a ball playing with his cousins in my parent's backyard all weekend, Walker was spoiled rotten, Len played the Wii, and I watched for alligators on my parents back porch all weekend. Yes, my parents have 6 alligators in the pond behind their house and for some reason I'm obsessed. I spent a lot of time looking for them with binoculars and I saw them. They are about three feet long but there is a momma that is 5 or 6 feet long and I don't think I saw her. I got to soak in some quality time with my sister. We have so much fun together. My mom cooked a great Sunday meal and dad made me laugh alot. We haven't been down there since the dreaded tonsillectomy and it was so nice. Len and I have been fearful of going anywhere in the car because of Walker's meltdowns but he actually did good most of the time. I'm not ready to make the drive by myself, but it wasn't so bad. I forgot my camera but my sister got a few pictures. I was really wanting a good fall family picture, but we couldn't ever get it together and it is so stinkin' hot in Montgomery still that we were all sweaty and couldn't get a picture. I stole these off my sister's blog and I think they were the only ones we got all weekend.
