On Thursday afternoon it was raining and thundering really bad. Walker is my "scared" child and whenever he hears a strange noise, he will come over to me and bury his head in my lap. He even told me the other day that he was scared when we were watching WallE. It was SO sweet. He said, "mommy, I scared" and he turned his head away from the TV and snuggled up to me. Anyway, back to my story. The sky got really dark and it sounded like we were about to have a tornado so I took the boys into the hallway between the downstairs bathroom and laundry room and we took the computer with us. I told them I had to look at the news to see the weather report. It ended up only being a severe thunderstorm warning so everything was okay. When it was time for bed, I did our normal bedtime routine with Walker and layed him down and he cried and cried so I got him out of bed and he kept saying, "news? news?" I realized that he was still scared about the weather so I put him in the bed with Will and he went right to sleep immediately. I took some pictures of them and went to get some things done. I went back in there and he was snuggled really close next to Will. It was so sweet that it brought tears to my eyes. Walker loves Will so much and fighting aside, Will would do ANYTHING for his baby brother. He is his protector and I love seeing their sweet relationship grow. It's pictures like this that make every bad day worth it!

New Etsy Shop
My friend Heather has started an Etsy shop with her adorable applique shirts. I just told her what I wanted and that I wanted my boys to coordinate but not match perfectly and this is what she came up with! How cute! Please check out her shop here! She can custom make something if you have an idea. These shirts are great prices and we wore ours to the park yesterday and got so many compliments!

Time for Walker's First Haircut
Yesterday we decided that we had put off cutting Walker's hair long enough. He was starting to get a mullet in the back. He did so good and sat so still the whole time. I can't believe he is almost two and getting his first haircut. For some reason, my boys don't have much hair until they are around 2 1/2. I have tons of hair so I guess they get it from Len. I've been putting it off because it took so long for Walker to get some and I didn't want to cut of the one little curl he had, but it needed to be done. He looks like such a big boy now, sniff, sniff, but he looks so handsome!
The finished product....
He sat so still and was so good while I was cutting his hair.
And the finished product!!
A good boy deserves a sucker!

Beautiful Day at the Zoo
*three new posts below*
We went to the zoo this afternoon with the McInteers. It was such a beautiful day and the fresh air was so rejuvenating! We went in the late afternoon and hardly anyone was there so it felt like we had the zoo all to ourselves. The giraffes came closer than they ever have and were right in front of us. The boys had so much fun and I had fun getting some girl time in with one of my favorite friends.

Zoo
Walker thought he was on some kind of safari. He kept trying to leave the path and hide in the trees. This little booger makes me work, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
Walker is always running. We always joke that he doesn't know how to walk. He just runs everywhere he goes.
My precious little 4 1/2 year old. Don't call him 4 or you will get called out for it. He will tell you that he is 4 1/2 and almost 5. It's a competition thing amongst his friends. I hear the "I'm older than you" alot. He is also VERY into picking out his outfits lately. He chose this entire get-up. T-shirt, athletic shorts, boots and hat. I've chosen not to fight it. I want him to be able to express himself as long as it isn't totally ridiculous. We did get into it the other day when he wanted to wear some too small soccer shorts to school when it was freezing, but we were able to come up with a compromise. Good bye~cutesy clothes. It was fun while it lasted! sniff sniff
Beautiful Day at the Zoo
Is Brooks not beautiful?? I know I shouldn't say this about a boy, but the McInteer boys have eyes that will make you melt!
Sweet Cash
Brooks and Will in front of the Meercats exhibit.
The babies were banished to the stroller and weren't to thrilled about it. I couldn't get them to look at the camera. Of course, Walker has his hands in his mouth when he doesn't have his paci.

Sunday Pictures
I haven't taken Sunday pictures in a long time, due to the cold weather. We tried to give it a go this Sunday. It's so hard because Walker is so sleepy after church and we are always rushing to get there on time in the morning.
Ella and Ava
came over to play the other day. My boys love these girls and have so much fun with them. They love "baby walkie" and still think of him as a little baby and he loves every minute of the attention they give him. All four were up to NO good the whole afternoon! :-)
Silly Boys
I have the funniest boys who love to laugh and have fun. I'm often told how happy my boys are all the time and I love hearing that. My mom is going to kill me for posting the booty picture. (Walker (in the future). I couldn't help it. Just being honest, but this is a common occurence in our house. ha!
