Walker Allen Adcock is here!!!

Walker Allen Adcock was born at 1:05 p.m. weighing in at 7lbs 3oz and 19 1/4 inches long. He looks just like his big brother Will. Christine and Walker are both doing really well. Len and Will are so proud! I will hopefully be at the hospital tomorrow for a "little photo shoot" of the new family of 4. Here is what we have so far...there are a LOT of pics, enjoy!

A few new pictures of Will

*Scroll down for another post.

Here are a few new pictures I took today at Lawton's birthday party.  Laura Beth is so creative!  I think she is doing some serious nesting!  The theme was Thomas the Train and Chad took the kids around on a gator type thing.  Laura Beth made the cutest cake and I had to take a picture of it.  She also made the cutest little cardboard Thomas Trains and drew faces on them and the kids got to take one home.  Will had such a great time that he threw the biggest fit when we were leaving and I had to carry him all the way to the car.  I thought I might go into labor after that little doozy.  I'm sorry to all of you that had to witness that one.  I think everyone just stood there with their jaws open.  It was not pretty!

37 weeks

Here are a few belly shots at 37 weeks.  Not much longer!  At my last check up, Dr. Crowe discovered that Walker is breach.  It doesn't really matter at this point b/c he will be delivered by c-section but I thought something was different because he gets the hiccups at least 4 times a day and I used to feel them really low and now I feel them under my left rib and he has been doing some serious kicking on my bladder.  He is still so active and I don't remember Will being this active in the womb.  Sometimes he rocks my whole body with his movements.  I can't wait for him to get here, but I have to admit, I will miss feeling him move like this.
Will has had a rough week.  I think he has been bi-polar this week.  Just joking but some kind of demon has gotten ahold of him and he has had some terrible fits.  I think he's a little worried about everything that is about to happen so we are going to lay low with talking about the baby for a few days.  He either wants to do everything by himself or he wants mommy to do it.  He says, "I do it by myself" and then gets frustrated when he can't do something and screams at the top of his lungs at us.  He asks for help and then when we try to help him, he screams again that he wants to do it by himself.  Even if Len tries to hand him something, he screams that mommy has to do it.  It has been quite stressful.  My sister says he's just getting primed for the terrible threes.  Ugh!  I thought it was supposed to be terrible twos but apparently, three can be worse.  Please pray that Len and I will have patience in dealing with these mood swings.  It is very hard and I have shed a few tears this week.
He has said a few funny things worth mentioning.  He came up to me the other day with what appeared to be a booger on his finger.  It wasn't but I asked him what it was and he said a "booker" and I said, How did it get there and he said, God.  I had to bite my tongue not to laugh.  My mind just went blank on the other funny things he said so I will have to post them when I can remember.

The Countdown is ON!!

Only 16 days until Walker arrives... I just have to say that I am so thankful for the wonderful friends and family in my life!   They are so generous and caring.  Thanks to my Bunco Friends and Dinner Group friends for the mini showers.  You are all so generous!!!  I picked up Will one day last week and Theresa surprised me with the most adorable diaper cake that her daughter, Lauren had made.  It had all kinds of wonderful baby goodies on it and I still have it perfectly in place because it's so cute.  My mom and sister are getting me a double stroller.  We are looking at the Joovy sit and stand.  If anyone has any advice on double strollers that will carry a Graco car seat and a toddler, let me know.  I would love to know what worked for you.   I have a Chicco side by side but it doesn't hold a carrier and I'm really going to be needing that for the pool this summer.
Today, I had one of the best surprises of all because it came from my sweet little 2nd graders.  Katie, my job share partner had told me that I had to work today (we had talked about switching days) and I didn't ask why and she didn't offer an explanation.  I just assumed she had planned something, well... when I got to school on Monday she had an invitation for a Diaper Drop for me at our school for next Friday so I just assumed she had gotten the dates mixed up.  Somehow we let snooze go on and on today and I didn't get up until 6:45 ( I leave the house at 7:10) and I was running terribly late and I didn't have time for a shower so I asked Will if he wanted to come to school with me today (Theresa lives less than a mile from my school and my planning time is at 9:10 so I thought it would be fun).  I wish I would have had my video camera.  It was hilarious.  I have never seen a child so excited to be at school with his mom and he didn't stop running around my classroom for the whole hour.  I'm getting off the subject but anyways after lunch today I was bringing my class back and I walk in and Katie was there and so were 4 moms with a cake, Target giftcard for a very nice amount, and a few other gifts including one for Will.  It was so sweet and I was so surprised.  I couldn't believe that my 19 little second graders kept it a secret!!!
On another note, Will just wore himself out this week.  He is asleep in his carseat in the garage right now and has been since we left Theresa's over an hour ago.  We went to eat with Grandma Nancy last night and she treated us to Cheesecake Factory and then bought Will and Walker a few fun things at PB Kids.  We didn't get home until 9 and Will threw a huge fit to take a bath with his new hermit crab and fish from PB Kids.  I just had to let him because I knew he had pictured himself taking a bath with them the whole way home.  He is so busy these days and just so excited about the baby coming.  I wish I knew what he was thinking and if he really understands what life is going to be like with another little boy around.  I don't think any of us really understands what life is going to be like!!!

Easter Sunday

It was NOT a pretty day to take pictures.  Not what you picture for Easter Sunday, that's for sure.  These are the only pictures we got of the day.  We had a wonderful time eating with the McInteer's at Green Hills Grille.  I haven't eaten there in so long and was really craving it.  Here is the 34 1/2 week belly shot.  I know, it looks like he's in my face.  That's the lovely thing that happens to me when I'm pregnant.  Only 4 more weeks.  We are very ready to bring our new baby home.  I've started getting VERY emotional and hormonal which is not fun!  I've been crying over the silliest things so I know it's the hormones.  I have an appointment tomorrow so we will see how everything is going!  My mom and grandmom are coming up so I will have a babysitter which is very RARE and greatly appreciated.  I'm going to get my haircut too which is long overdue.  I'm not one of those people who love being pregnant and feel the glow.  I feel like a huge frumpy elephant and I need something to help me feel better!

Easter Pictures #2

We had fun dyeing Easter eggs on Saturday night.  I think I ate 3 or 4 hard boiled eggs!  Gross!  The Easter Bunny decided to come on Sat. night instead of Sunday morning since he was bringing Play-Do.  We knew that would be a huge problem with the playdo and trying to get ready to get out the door for church.  PlayDo is the new fun thing around here.

Easter Pictures 1

We had a little last minute egg hunt at our house since the BHCC hunt was moved indoors.  These pictures are hilarious to me.  I can't get a good picture of Will lately, but looking at these on the stairs is like looking at me as a child.  We had so much fun playing.  Most of our friends were out of town but we still had a blast!

My little mimic

I tend to read just about anything I can get my hands on, whether it's a magazine, Reader's Digest, or whatever is laying around. I have a hard time just sitting around doing nothing. I walked into Will's room the other night after one of my multiple trips to the "potty" (compliments of third trimester pregnancy) and Will was sitting here reading our new iron's owner's manual. It was to cute not to take a picture. I'm amazed by the little things he mimics us doing.
I have added a few more new posts so scroll down below.

Gatlinburg

Last weekend we enjoyed getting to see our family in Gatlinburg. The boys played hard and went looking for owls, fishing, and hot tubbing!

Getting ready for our baby

The other day, we got the old baby carrier out of our attic so we could go to Babies R Us and look at double strollers.  We took the carrier with us to see what kind of stroller it would fit in.  Ever since we took it out, Will has wanted to play with it and get in it so I found my old doll from when I was little and we dressed it and Will wanted to put a hat and socks on it and put it in the carrier.  I know this probably isn't a big deal to those of you with girls, but we don't have anything girly.  He calls this doll baby Walker and even sang Rock a Bye Baby to it (which I didn't even know he knew that song?!) It is so sweet.  I hope he doesn't want to hold the real baby Walker the way he is holding the doll!

When Daddy does it....

Let me start off by saying that Len is the best daddy and is very involved with everything, but he doesn't always do things exactly the way I would.  ha ha  Will fell asleep on our way home from the Y this morning and I'm not supposed to be lifting him so he carried him upstairs and put him in our bed (which I know is not made, I'm a terrible housekeeper these days.)  He put him in our bed b/c he's trying to build something in the garage and it was going to be loud b/c Will's room is over the garage.  Anyways, I didn't even go in there until he had been asleep for an hour and this is how Len left him-with his coat and hood on, shoes on and almost hanging off the bed without a pillow beside him in case he rolled off.   That's a daddy for you!

Pretty Day

Here are some pictures we took of Will a few weeks ago.  The all blue outfit was a coincidence.  I wasn't planning that one!  He is wearing his cousin Copeland's vest and loves it because it's Copey's.  I can't wait until we can go outside every day.  I really think it helps Will to be able to get outside and run all of his energy out.  This winter weather is getting OLD!  Does anyone else's child get really excited and hyperactive when someone comes over to visit.  We are dealing with that right now.  It's like a dog that gets excited and runs circles around the house.  I don't know what to do because it's really frustrating for Len and I.  He doesn't act like this until someone comes over or we go out in public.  If you have any suggestions, let me know!!  He also makes really loud noises to get attention when people come over.  Is this normal at all???

Update on Baby Adcock

I know I haven't posted in forever. We've been very busy and I just haven't been motivated to post. I haven't taken any pictures in a LONG time! We have a date set for Walker's birth so we are very excited about that. I'm feeling very good, especially when I compare it with my first pregnancy. Will is doing great, talking up a storm and keeping me on my toes! He can definitely be a challenge at times, but when he looks up at me and out of the blue says, Mommy, I wuv you, I forget about all of the hard times. I'm getting very excited about spring and getting to hold our new baby. It just doesn't seem real to me yet and I haven't thought about it as much. We have a date set for April 21st unless there is a scheduling conflict so that will give me 61 days left! Hopefully we will have things to keep us busy until the time comes. I know it will go by fast. I need to post a pregnant picture, but I haven't taken a single one! I will try to post pictures soon and hopefully it won't be another month before I update again!

My Sick Baby

I have been a bad blogger this week and am just now catching up.  Thursday night, Will woke up crying only an hour after he had gone to bed and he was burning up so we dosed him up with Motrin.  It was a long night.  He had a fever until Sunday afternoon.  He doesn't get sick very often and I'm so glad he got sick during the holidays when I was off work.  I'm trying not to use any of my sick days this year so I'm trying to look on the bright side!  He didn't have any other symptoms and usually when he does get sick, he just has a fever virus.  We have had some serious cabin fever and one WHINY boy!  Len let me sleep in on Sunday morning because I was up with Will alot during the night and while he was downstairs with Len he said, "Daddy, my feber's back again."  I thought that it was so funny that he knew and that daddies don't always notice when the "feber's back again" so he made sure to tell him.  I'm also adding a picture of Will on his new "puter."  Someone gave Len some old laptops awhile back and he has been refurbishing them so he finally gave Will his own "puter."  He loves playing on the Bob the Builder website and he also loves the Fisher Price website.  It has a few cute ABC and counting games that he loves and he can play them by himself which is a nice.  Here is a picture of my sick little boy asleep on his daddy and another one from him playing on his computer.

New Years with the Adcocks

We went to North Carolina for New Years to see our new baby nephew, Baby Tru.  Wow, he is so precious!!  Poor Aunt Heather was such a trouper to have us, along with a whiny toddler for three days.  I don't know if I could have handled that one week after having a new baby!  We had a great time.  Unfortunately, these are the only pictures I got.  I'm so mad that I didn't get one of all the boys together, but we are going to Gatlinburg in February and I will be sure to get some pictures of everyone then.
