Opening Presents

Okay, these are the last of the birthday pictures. I know I posted alot, but we had so much fun and I wanted to remember every detail. We had a water themed Scooby Doo party in our backyard. We set up a slip in slide, blow up jumpy thing, water balloons, water guns and baby pool. Will had all of this little "boy" friends from school and church. They played and then had lunch, cake and ice cream and then he opened his presents. What a fun day for a VERY special 4 year old. He is very proud to tell everyone that he is 4 now. These past 4 years have FLOWN by. He makes us laugh everyday. The other night we were reading books and he said, "Mom, can I get a bidnight snack?" I don't know where he got this b/c luckily for us, he's never stayed up until midnight. He has a great memory and can recall lots of facts from books he has read. He takes his job as big brother VERY seriously!! He is like a little daddy and he says he wants to be a daddy when he grows up and can't wait to be one. He loves toting his baby brother around and talks to him so sweetly. He is very generous with his toys and snacks and always puts others before himself. Another night we were talking and I was showing him a little photo album I have of when Len and I were dating and I explained to him that we got married because we love each other and I told him that when he grows up, he will meet a girl and marry her. He said, no mommy, I'm going to marry you. I swooned and he sat there a second and then said with a frown on his face, "but your already married." So precious!

Blowing out the candles

When we started planning out Will's birthday party, he insisted on having a Scooby Doo theme. We have this hideous ;) cake to prove it! It was delish and he was delighted! We are so proud of our sweet, charming, energetic, smart, tenderhearted little (big) 4 year old! He doesn't meet a stranger and walks up to everyone he sees and says, I'm Will and I'm 4 and this is my baby, Walker. Lately, he has captured the hearts of different people we have met. We were at a restaurant in FL and the manager came to our table and Will started talking to him. Later on, he came up to Will and told him that he normally didn't do this, but offered him free ice cream because he was so friendly to him. The air conditioner man came out to fix our AC the other day and Will kept talking to him and asking him questions. The guy had already gotten in his car and drove away when I got another knock at the door. He came back just to bring Will this little AC superhero called the "bryant man." It was so sweet of him and he didn't have to do that. We have had other instances like this and I like to think it's because he is very charming:) He brings me more joy than I can describe! My heart belongs to him and I can't contain my love for this little boy. I could write a book about how precious he is to me and Len.

Jumping and Baby Pool Swimming

We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather. Our backyard gets FULL sun and it is very hot in July out there! It was overcast and not to hot so we didn't suffer to much. The boys enjoyed jumping on a jumpy blow up thing (thanks McInteers :) and played in the baby pool.

Slip-n-Sliding

Papa gave Will his first slip-n-slide and everyone had a blast with it. They were covered in grass clippings. If you're a boy and you're dirty~ you're having fun~at least that's true for my boys.

Water Balloon Fight!!

The water balloons were a big hit! This mama had sore fingers after filling them up. They were gone in seconds! Boys cannot resist a good water balloon fight.

Superman Boys

I loved these little matching superman tees I found at Old Navy and had to get a picture of the boys with them on. They are both "super" to me!

4th of July

These are the only pictures I took of our 4th of July. My dad called us on Thursday and said he wanted to come see the boys and we were happy to have a visitor. My throat started hurting really bad that night and I just dismissed it and felt a little better the next morning. It REALLY started hurting the next day and I started getting body aches and still didn't do anything about it. Len's was hurting really bad too but I thought it was just drainage. We went to the Lipscomb fireworks and had a great time, but after a ton of advil, it was still bothering me so the next morning, I went to a walk-in clinic and had a bad case of strep throat! Not fun at all! We still had a pretty good weekend despite the strep and Len and I both took antibiotics and started feeling better. The boys loved the fireworks and loved having their Papa in town.

Walker in a dress

This was from July! I'm working right now on getting my blog up to date. Walker came up to me one day with this shirt of mine and tried to put it over his head. So what does a mommy with two boys (who loves girls ;) do? I put it on him and let him wear it for awhile and had to take pictures of my "pretty boy" in a dress. It might be the only chance I'll get and he will probably kill me when he gets older for doing this to him.
