Tonsils and Adenoids are GONE!

To make a long story short, we have had an appointment with an ENT in Nashville for over 3 months.  They wanted to do a sleep study and I was 9 months pregnant at the time and we just couldn't get there.  My mom suggested we just take Will to the Dr. that took out my tonsils and who is a friend of my mom's.  He saw Will on Thursday and said that Will's tonsils were huge and touching.  We have had issues with his sleeping and a few tonsil infections along with strep. He said we could wait but he could also fit us into the schedule on Monday.  We had to make a quick decision and decided it would be best to just go ahead and get it over with.  It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  Will was so hungry this morning and that was the hardest part before the surgery.  They gave him something called Versed which calmed him down alot.  It was sad b/c he was just stumbling around.  My mom is a CRNA at the hospital so he got a little extra TLC from the Anesthesiologist.  They gave him lots of toys and let him walk around all around before his surgery.  They also gave him a little Dr. hat and mask to play with.  When they called us back to recovery, I could hear Will crying really hard and he was inconsolable.  It really shook me up.  He was trying to rip his IV out of his arm.  He was okay after we gave him a popsicle and he ended up eating three and drinking lots of Sprite.  I thought he would sleep all day but he only slept about an hour.  He has been a daddy's boy today!  Len really has a way with him and was the only one who was able to calm him down.  We are doing okay.  Will is refusing to take his pain medicine and we have to hold him down and he tries to spit it out.  Please say a little prayer that tomorrow will be better on my poor little guy.  His voice is the cutest little raspy sound.

Here is the hat that Dr. Ware gave him.  He was a God send!
The whole family in the recovery room.  Will could barely keep his eyes open but he continued to eat popsicles.
Still trying to eat his popsicle.  He was SO hungry.
Finally asleep with daddy.  I have to say that I am so lucky to have a husband that cares so much for his children.  He is so dedicated to being a good father and spending time with Will and our family.  He would rather be with us than anywhere else and I'm so thankful for that.  He has such a special bond with Will and he knows how to calm him down when he is upset.
This was later this afternoon.  I was able to get away to Target and get him an Icee.  Dr. Ware gave him this green football wristband and he still has it on.  He is sleeping soundly right now, but I am not!  I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to wake him up when it's time for his medicine.  I'm also very anxious about what the morning will be like.

A few more Montgomery pics

Here is a picture of Will pitching a gigantic fit!  I will have to show him what he put me through when he gets older:)

Having fun with me-elch!

Montgomery

We've been in Montgomery this week visiting my parents and our cousins.  It has been so much fun with the exception of Will vomiting ALL OVER me and my mom on Friday morning.  Ann Welch and Will have had their share of arguments.  It is so funny to see them fight but exhausting keeping them from hitting, screaming, pushing and poking each other!  Will loves her so much that he just wants her attention ALL the time and will do anything to get it.
He calls her me-elch.
I made homemade chocolate chip cookies one day and got a picture of them eating together.
This is ONE SPOILED BABY!!  He does not like to be put down-EVER!!  How can you say no to a face like that.  We are going to have some serious problems when we get back home.
Cousins on the couch.
See the big boy underwear!!  We are now potty trained!!
We went to Ford's baseball game and it was fun until Will had diarrhea twice.  Heat+getting over a stomach virus (I thought he was over it) does not make for a great combination.  After two outfits, I announced to my parents that we just HAD to go home that minute.  We didn't even get to see Ford pitch.  It was awful.  I had to strip Will down in the bathroom at the ball park and put him in the sink in there.  Sometimes I feel like the joke is on me.  Where is the camera?? ha ha

Sister's photo shoot

My sister did a little photo shoot of the boys while we were in our hotel room.  She did such a good job and I love them and can't wait to order some!

Downtown Tuscumbia

Whenever we visit my grandmother we try to go to downtown Tuscumbia.  They have a wonderful park with a carousel and train rides.  After the park, we always go get Milkshakes at the Palace.

Our Weekend

My cousin Barrett got married this weekend.  We had a great time getting to see all of our cousins.  I'm so mad I didn't get a picture of all the cousins.  It's just to hard getting them all together and getting all the kids to sit still.  Here is a picture of my parents and Walker at the hotel.

Happy Father's Day

I could not have prayed for a better daddy for my children!  You are truly the most unselfish and giving father!  Thank you for your love and dedication to Will and Walker.  I am so proud of the father that you are.

Happy Father's Day Dad!

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful father and grandfather to my children.  I am proud to call you my dad!

This post is for my dad!  I love you so much!  If you know my dad you know that he does not meet a stranger.  He is the best, most caring person and I have learned so much from him.  Will loves his papa and I know that Walker will too.  Thank you dad for loving me and taking care of me and being the best dad a girl could have!!

Cookout at the Stephen's House

The Stephen's graciously hosted a fun cookout-water party for our Sunday School class.  The kids had so much fun playing on the waterslide and trampoline!

All the girls!
Trying to get all the kids to sit still for a group shot.

Having fun on the slide.  Libby is the little girl in front of Will.  She is just a little over a year and she is not scared of a thing!  She was jumping on the waterslide and hanging in there with the big kids.
Jumping on the trampoline.  Thanks Jeremy and Emily!  We had a great time tonight!
