Sitting in front of the tree
Trying to get a picture taken for your Christmas card is pretty much impossible if you have a busy toddler. I'm starting to realize that Will isn't as laid back as I originally thought. He will not sit still for a minute! He has already thrown and broken six of our ornaments (at least they're the cheap ones) and now we only have a half decorated tree because we had to move all the ornaments out of his reach. We have tried to take his Christmas picture so many times that it is starting to ruin our Christmas so if you think the picture we send is terrible, just know that our marriage was practically on the line when we were trying to get the picture. ha ha The picture doesn't have to be perfect, I just want one that captures Will the way I see him and we haven't been able to get one. Our camera has a delay and by the time Will does finally smile, the camera won't take.

Thanksgiving in the Mountains
Ward and Heather (Len's brother and his wife) invited us to spend Thanksgiving with them at Lake Lure in North Carolina. It was beautiful there with the mountains surrounding the lake. The boys had a great time together. They haven't seen each other in almost a year and had so much fun. Will started thinking he was a little bit older than he is. It was so cute to watch them run around and play together. Will thought Gage was so funny and laughed at everything he did. We couldn't believe how much Davis had grown. He is very mischievious! He will be two in February and Gage just turned 4. We spent the days relaxing and eating, two of my favorite things! We had beautiful weather. It was sunny and in the mid 60's everyday. We went hiking and Will loved it. He just loves being outside and loved throwing rocks in the lake. Thanks for inviting us to come with y'all Ward and Heather. We can't wait to see you for New Years! Here are a few pictures of our weekend. Heather bought the boys matching pj's. They looked so cute in them.

Castles and Crowns
I'm the new rep for a clothing line called Castles and Crowns. If anyone reading my blog would like to host a party, it is a great way to get adorable smocked and appliqued clothes at half the cost! The website is www.castlesandcrowns.com and I'm available to host parties for the whole month of January. If you don't live in Nashville, but would be interested in hosting a party without the trunk of clothes, I could arrange that too. You can go to the website and click on host a party and you can email me if you would be interested. I have been the hostess for two seasons now and I can say without a doubt that these clothes are adorable! They are affordable too! They are less than boutique brands and other trunk show lines. Just email me if you are interested. I hope to make a great start in my first season as a rep.

Happy Birthday to our nephew Gage!
Gage,
Happy Birthday! We love you very much and can't believe you are already 4! Four years ago today we waited by the phone anxiously for your arrival. You have been such a joy in our lives. You are a very special boy and we can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks! We hope you have the best time at your pirate party.

Happy 1st Birthday Ann Welch!
Happy Birthday to my sweet niece Ann Welch! I can't believe she's already a year old! She had a great birthday party along with Ford who turned 7 in October and her cousin Mary Reagan. It was at the Hilyer's farm and they had hayrides, sack races, pony rides and all kinds of fun things to do.
We had a very busy weekend. Len's mom came to Nashville Thursday night and kept Will on Friday. He had a great time with her and judging by the marshmallows stuck in his hair, he was a little spoiled that day! We left in a hurry to go to Montgomery on Friday. We were planning on heading to Auburn to watch the Faulkner/Auburn game (my dad helps coach for Faulkner's basketball team) and we were making great time until we hit the dreaded Birmingham downtown rush hour traffic. What a nightmare! We made it five miles in two hours. It would be a pain without a toddler, but it got downright nasty. We ended up having to take Will out of his seat on the interstate, which really didn't matter since we couldn't go over 5 miles an hour. What was supposed to be a 4 hour trip ended up being 6 hours and we were so disappointed to miss dad's game. I was so mad at the city of Birmingham. I mean, why would they shut down 2 lanes during Friday rush hour? We finally got to Montgomery and needless to say, I had two boys in a very bad mood!
On Saturday, we went to the birthday party and Will got to ride a horse for the first time! Thanks to Uncle David who took all the kids on horseback rides. He liked it until he saw me and Len and then he wanted down. On Saturday night, we went to the wedding of one of my best friends from Trinity. Emily looked beautiful and it was so much fun getting to see old friends and catch up on their lives. It was also fun for Len and I to get dressed up and actually get to go out ALONE!! We don't get the opportunity to often. Thanks to mom and dad for babysitting. They had a hard time getting Will to sleep but with the help of Bob the Builder and getting to snuggle with Papa in his bed, Will finally gave up the fight!

Trunk or Treat
Will went to his first Trunk or Treat at Brentwood Hills. He is a puppy for Halloween this year. We tried painting his face and even gave him a sucker so he would cooperate, but he wiggled so much that it was all smudged and we took it off. He liked carrying his trick-or-treat bag but everytime someone gave him candy, he tried to give it back.

Will and Brody

In other news, Will said our dog's name for the first time. It was so cute. Her name is Ellie and he went to the window and said Eyee. We were so proud! I don't know if we will do any trick-or-treating in our neighborhood this year. We might go to a few of our friends' houses. I'll post some pictures of that when I get them.

Gentry's Farm
We went to Gentry's Farm in Franklin yesterday. The weather was perfect and we had a good time. Will loved being outside and being able to run around without us saying no don't do that. He got to see rabbits, cows, bulls, goats and a sheep.

Playdate
Brooke, Frances, Will, Jackson, Ford, Robert and Lilly. We had to give all the kids candy corn to get them to sit and get their picture taken.

Eating lunch.

Jackson, Frances and Will. It is almost impossible to get toddlers to sit down and take a picture. Right when we would get them all sitting down, one of them would get up and start running away. The downside to digital cameras is the delay.

Preston Allan
Our good friends Josh and Mandi welcomed Preston Allan today. He is such a pretty baby. He weighed 8lbs 7oz and was almost two weeks early. Congratulations! Mandi is doing good. We are so happy for them. I think he looks like Mandi.
Just Playing Around
Will found one of my old make-up bags and loves to carry it around the house.

Playing on the ladder while daddy was painting. The bandaids are from his 15 month shots.

Getting ready for bed.

Will's favorite snack these days is peanut butter crackers.

Playing in the cozy coupe. Will loves to climb through it and dive out the other side.

Montgomery
Will had fun with Ann Welch. We didn't know he had an aggresive side until he saw Ann Welch in a car that looked just like his. She was sitting in it and he got in and sat right on top of her and pinched her and said "no, no." Don't feel sorry for Ann Welch though. She has two big brothers and isn't going to let anyone pinch her. She leaned over and pinched him right back!

We went to a birthday party while we were in Montgomery and Will got to take his first ride in a gator.

Hand, foot and mouth disease
I'm sorry for the lack of posts. I left my camera in Montgomery when we went down there last week to visit so I couldn't post any pictures. It has not been a happy time at the Adcock house this week. Will started running a fever when we got home from church on Sunday. He has refused to eat or drink hardly anything. We couldn't figure out what was wrong with him because he only had a fever. He didn't have a cold and he's already gotten his four molars so we just thougth it was a fever virus. We went to Dr. Myer's today for Will's 15 month well visit and guess what he has? Hand, foot and mouth disease. It sounds worse than it is. It's just a virus and of course there's nothing we can do except be miserable for the next week. He has sores in the back of his throat and they hurt really bad. I feel so bad for him. He is just so whiny and miserable. I'm trying to figure out where he could have possible gotten it. No one at his daycare has gotten it. I think he should be better in the next couple of days. There's nothing worse than a sick baby. It is NOT fun. Will didn't get sick very much as a baby so we're just not used to it. Here are his 15 month stats. He weighed 25 1/2 lbs. and was 32 inches long. I can't remember what his head was but it was in the same percentile range as everything else. He is a growing boy! He's gained a pound and has grown an inch and a half in three months! My mom is mailing my camera to me so I will post a few pictures when I get it. Have a great week!
