Little Indian

Will had a Thanksgiving Dinner at Miss Theresa's house on Friday and he had this little Indian headress on when I picked him up. He looked so cute and kept it on for quite awhile, which was suprising to me. Teresa said he wouldn't have anything to do with the vest. That didn't suprise me at all. They also made this adorable little Thanksgiving scene and the teacher in me just had to get it laminated and made into a placemat. I hope everyone has a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving. We have SO much to be thankful for. My brother arrived home safely yesterday. This was his third and final tour to Iraq and we feel so blessed that he made it home safely three times. All of your prayers meant so much!

The last of the Halloween pictures.....

On Monday night, Will helped Len carve our pumpkin. Len cut his finger but the pumpkin turned out good. Will chose to do the silly face.

When can I have the carving knife?

The finished product!! Pardon the bare feet. Will keeps taking his socks and shoes off these days.

Trunk or Treat at BHCC. We are terrible parents because this is the only picture we got of Will on Halloween. It's really hard to get pictures when you have an active child who doesn't want to be in pictures. He DID NOT want to wear his costume. I had to bribe him with the little candy corn pumpkins and I still couldn't get him to put the hat on. I guess Halloween isn't going to be his big thing. He loved Trunk or Treat though. He got lots of candy and actually kept it in his bag this year! We enjoyed getting to see all of the precious little children and Will's friends. We at chili and hot dogs and played at church for awhile and then went home to the grim reaper (our neighbor who dress up as the grim reaper every year and scares the children to death, although Will wasn't scared at all). We went to a few of our neighbors' houses and Will was in bed by 8!

We're glad Halloween is over and can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!!!!! We will find out what baby #2 at the beginning of December and are very excited!! I'm starting to feel much, much better so this is a good time around our household.. When mama's not happy, no one is! ha ha

This is what happens when I don't get a nap...

I'm asleep on the couch at 4:30 in the afternoon.....

Walden Farm

This morning we went to Walden Farm with the Semanchiks. This farm is great! If you haven't been, I highly recommend it. We went to Gentry's Garm last year and I thought this one was much more kid friendly. They had baby calves, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens and you could feed them. They also had little miniature ponies. Will and Lauryn loved the animals. It was so cute watching Lauryn squeal at the animals. The farm is free but they have tons of activities you can pay to participate in like face painting, milking a pretend cow, hayrides and lots of delicious goodies to eat. I think we're going to go back on Monday if anyone wants to come. They are open until Halloween.

Sunday School Class Halloween Party

We had our sunday school class party last night. We went out to the Baker's farm in Franklin. It was very cold and Will didn't have a nap all day and fell asleep on the way there so it was not the best night for us. We roasted marshmallows by the fire and made smores. Will is a monkey for Halloween this year. I picked it out because I thought this would be the last year that I could choose and I wanted him to still look cutesy. He loves Curious George so we thought the monkey costume would be fitting. He was not happy at all about putting on the monkey outfit but finally it didn't seem to bother him.
We tried to get a group shot of all the kids but that didn't work out very well. ha ha

My little monkey.

Getting warm by the bonfire and making smores.

Trying to get a group shot of the kids. Impossible!

BRRR.. It's cold!

Fall Festival at Smiley Hollow

Last weekend we went with the McInteer's to Matthew's law firm's fall festival at Smiley Hollow in Goodlettsville, TN. Will and Brooks had so much fun. Will got to ride on a pony again and loved it. They had a huge outdoor banquet hall with a Dee Jay sp? and kareoke and Will loved it. He is not as enthusiastic about dancing as he used to be but he loved the hula hoop. He got to decorate a pumpkin and poor pumpkin, I left it there because it was hideous!

Going on a hayride.

Big Brother

For those of you who don't know, Will is going to be a big brother. We are very excited and can't wait to meet the "beebee" as Will calls it. He loves to give it pats and kisses and if you ask him what it is doing he will say it will "Gwow and Gwow and Gwow"
(Grow) He also wants to name the baby "beet bar" (fruit bar) as in the Nutri Grain Bars that he loves. The baby is due late April so keep us in your prayers for a healthy baby. Everyone asks me what I want to have as if it's my choice so I will go ahead and say that I will be happy with whatever God gives us!! I picture a little boy because I can't picture anything different but I really don't have a feeling either way this time. I'll leave you with a picture of my first baby who is growing up so fast!

North Carolina

We went to NC this weekend for Len's high school reunion. It was a long drive, but we had a great time. It was a beautiful weekend and we had the most wonderful fall like weather.
We took Will to watch the Mt. Tabor (Len's high school) football game on Friday night. I think it will be awhile until we bring him to another game. He wanted to go up and down the bleachers and would not sit still. Typical Will!! We went with Len's high school best friend, Cameron and his wife Lindsey. We finally got to meet their baby, Merritt. She is so cute!! It was fun to see old friends and I'm so glad Lindsay came to the reunion. It would not have been very fun for me without her there to talk to!!

Petting the horses at Tanglewood Park near "Gamma's" house. Will's newest obsession is "amals" (animals).

Getting my helmet on so I can ride a pony!

Riding the pony! I loved it until I saw the dump truck that my Grandma Nancy hid from me and then I wanted off the pony so I could play with the dump truck. Hmmm dump truck or pony?

Terrible Blogger

Okay,
I've heard from lots of people that I've been a terrible blogger and I know, it's true! I just haven't been into it lately. It's felt more like a chore than anything else but I'm going to try to get better. I've been a terrible commenter too! Life has been busy lately. We've been out of town alot and I've worked alot. Also, Will will just not be still long enough to let me take his picture, but I have gotten a few recently. I think this is one of my favorite stages with him so far. He is just so much fun right now. He is talking up a storm and just so happy right now and we are enjoying every minute with him. More posts to come, I promise!!

Will swimming

Here is Will swimming by himself with the help of floaties. He wouldn't wear his floaties all summer long and finally at the end of July, things just kind of clicked and now he loves them and loves swimming. Too bad summer is almost over.
This is a little old and I've been meaning to post it but it's such a pain to upload video that I'm just now getting around to doing it. There has got to be an easier way than what Len is doing. I don't know why it's so blurry.

Will's First "Real" Haircut

After three really bad haircuts, done by yours truly, we decided that I should stop pretending like I'm a hairstylist and take Will to get his haircut, plus we needed to fix a little incident I had with the scissors. We went to our neighborhood Great Clips and the lady did a great job. Will was very calm the whole time and just sucked on his sucker. Here are a few pictures. Now, I really feel like my baby boy is a big boy with his haircut. I'm not so sure about the short-do. Len loves it, but I will probably let it grow a little bit more in the back.

The one weekend that my husband goes out of town

and I locked Will in the car without it running in the 100 degree heat. This has been a crazy weekend. I don't have any new pictures to post but I just had to write about my weekend so I can look back on it one day and laugh. Len went to Charlotte this weekend to be in a wedding and Will and I couldn't go because I just started school and I had inservice and couldn't miss it. When I got home on Friday, I got everything out of the car and put my keys in my purse and shut the door and tried to open the back door to get Will out. All of the doors were locked and I panicked! I called Len and asked him where the other key was and he had it on his keyring. I have NEVER done this before and the one weekend this happens, Len is out of town. I ran over to get my neighbor and he came over with his family and then I called 911. The police officer came over within minutes, siren going and told me that there was nothing he could really do. The locksmith was stuck in traffic and it would take him almost 45 minutes to get there so I started crying. My neighbor and the policeman tried to get in the car but couldn't so he had to bust the window out. I was on the other side with my neighbor's wife and daughter trying to get Will to close his eyes so the glass wouldn't spray on him. My neighbor cut his hand really bad when he busted the window and I felt so bad! Will was sweating so bad and starting to cry but you should have seen the look on his face when the window broke. He looked so shocked but needless to say, I didn't care how much it cost, I just wanted my baby out of that car! After I got Will to bed, I spent forever vaccuming up all the glass. I didn't realize how much glass is involved in a broken car window! Oh, what a night! We couldn't go anywhere all weekend because of the broken window and then Saturday afternoon, Will came down with fever, which he had on and off all day Sunday. He is perfectly fine today and went to Miss Teresa's. She said he was fine. School started today so summer fun as we know it is over. I have to go every day the first week but I will be back to part time next week and then we are off to the beach! I think we are going to have a good class this year and my goal is to stay positive! I will post some pictures of our beach trip when we get back. Have a great week and thanks for listening/reading my sob story about the weekend. Our life never seems to be boring!
