Will and Lauryn in the bath

Will and Lauryn had fun taking a bath together and making each other have funny hair. Lauryn's daddy, Ryan wasn't so sure about his baby girl taking a bath with Will! ha ha

Montgomery Trip

We went to Montgomery last week for a few days and had so much fun! I love being with my family and Will loves my mom and dad. He even knew we were there when we drove on their street and we haven't been there since March. He had so much fun playing with his cousins. Allison took him to VBS with her kids and it had a Cars theme and he loved it. We had a great time at the pool. His little cousin Ann Welch is such the dare devil and just dives in the pool. I didn't take many pictures but my sister did so hopefully I can get some from her when she uploads them. Here are a few pictures from the pool.

Fun at the Tanners

Our Sunday School class has family devotionals and get togethers once every 2 or 3 months. We went to the Tanner's house Friday night. We had a great time but we didn't stay very long because Will was so tired from refusing to go to bed and waking up every morning at 5:30 when Grandma Nancy was here. Please excuse the beached whale look I have right here. I decided to get over myself and post the picture anyway.

Grandma Nancy's visit

Len's mom came to see us for a few days last week. She watched Will for two days while I did my Castles and Crowns parties. He loved her and they had a great time together. He didn't even cry when I left on the second day. Here are a few pictures of Len, Nancy and Will.

Birthday Party

We went to Carter, Hagan and Bennett's birthday party today. Carter is Will's cousin. I didn't get any pictures of Will with any of the birthday boys. Will loves going to birthday parties and loves the cake! He had a good time playing in the sand.

Funny Boy

I was trying to organize something yesterday and Will walks in with this hat on his head and he was carrying his Easter basket. Somehow he had raided the hall closet. I laughed so hard and said, "You're so funny" and I could have sworn he said, "I'm funny." He kept the hat on forever and I was able to get a picture. He stayed in his pajamas all day yesterday! We needed a stay at home day after VBS all week.

The "Big Slide" and VBS cookout

Waiting in line to go down the waterslide.

Umm, I'm not so sure about this now that I'm up here.

Okay Robert, I guess I'll go if you go first.

This water sprinkler thing is fun, especially with Annie.

Having fun with daddy and Brody.

Tonight we had our last night at VBS. It started on Sunday night and then we went on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning and then we finished it out with a big water slide, sprinklers, and baby pools everywhere. They looked so nasty after all the kids had been playing in them and of course I look up and Will is trying to drink the brown pool water. Oh, the life of a little boy. Will had so much fun at VBS that when we drove into our church parking lot he started clapping and saying "yeah" over and over again. He has had so much separation anxiety and he is finally getting over it! When I say he had separation anxiety, I mean, it was bad. Some of the comments from the nursery workers when I picked him up every day were, Wow, he is all boy! He doesn't stop for a minute! He is such a ham! He is so sweet! It made me feel good to hear positive things. You just never know how your child acts around other people and its good to know that he shows his good side to them. He braved the big water slide and loved it! He went down it twice and I think he would have gone more if there wasn't such a big line. We had a hotdog cookout afterwards and all Will ate was chips and cookies. We're going to have to work on the meat eating thing!

Bunco

I hosted Bunco at my house tonight and thought I would post a picture of my bunco group. As you can see, Mandi is the ham of the group. I love these girls and we have so much fun together. I have been a part of this group for 4 years and we meet once a month. It's great to get out of the house and have a girl's night. Thanks Brooke, Lia and Julie for subbing tonight. Julie, we forgot to take the picture before you left! We missed Pam, Kristen, Laura Beth and Laura! Can't wait for next month!

Heading to church

I don't mean to brag, but how cute is my little boy all dressed up for church?

We are always rushing out the door, trying to get to church on time and we never get any pictures of Will dressed up. It usually gets really stressful, but we decided to skip 8:00 church this morning and take our time getting ready so we had time to take a few pictures.

Will and Jackson in their matching outfits. Somehow, Rebekah and I always dress Will and Jackson in the same outfits on the same day for church. I have two other pictures of them from last year in matching outfits.

Trying to go to a restaurant with three toddlers has its challenges! By the end of our meal, we didn't even care anymore and just let the kids run and play down the booth.

Jackson, Frances and Will kept throwing cars at the people in line at Pei Wei. Of course, we're the moms that don't even notice that our kids were doing it until people kept saying, "Excuse me, here are your cars."

If you haven't already noticed, I'm not what you would call a regular blogger so I end up posting alot of different posts at once. I will try to get better. We go through phases where we will take a ton of pictures and then we'll go for weeks without taking any. I will try to start uploading my pictures after taking them and posting regularly. We start Vacation Bible School tomorrow. I'm glad Will will have some friends to play with. I will be helping with crafts and I think that will be alot easier than being a lifeguard. Our theme is "Soak up the Son." It's a beach theme. I wasn't going to help this year but I started feeling a little bit guilty about it and after a few days at home I thought Will might need a little bit of socialization.

Dippin' Dots

A new Dippin' Dots store has opened near our house and we've been wanting to take Will there. The sign has been up forever and we kept thinking that it was open, but it's finally open so we took Will there for a little late night ice cream treat. Late night= 7:30.

Nummy, (yummy) these dots are good. They kind of make me feel like I've stuck my tongue to a cold pole though.

Sharing a dippin dots moment with daddy, but my mind is on the penguin movie in the background.

Fun with the Semanchiks and McInteers

Going down the slide at the Semanchik's house.

Throwing the football with Brooks.

Holding Lauryn's hand and trying to help her walk.

Doing what we call "the interpretive dance."

Listen Brooks, this motorcycle is mine and you are not going to get it, okay? This is the "mine" look.

We went over to Ryan Semanchik's parents house and played in the pool and ordered pizza. Will was a little iffy with the pool. We have to catch him in a great mood and he had just woken up from a nap so he wasn't to keen on getting in the pool. He did have fun with Brooks though. They played football and Will is trying to teach Brooks about the world of "mine." Yes, this is Will's favorite word when he's around his little buddies. I'm not to happy about this word. For some reason, Will tends to think every toy is his these days. He found a motorcycle and truck at their house and would not have any part in sharing it with Brooks. It's a good thing Brooks hasn't discovered this annoying habit yet because he really could have cared less. Brooks is so cute and walking and talking up a storm. Will loved holding Lauryn's hand and kissing and hugging her. She just could not be any cuter right now. She is trying so hard to walk and she isn't even 9 months old yet. She wanted to run around and play with the big boys.

Not afraid anymore

Here I go!

Wow, there's so much to do here!

I did it! I'm not scared anymore!

We have a new park near our house and we took Will the other day. I think it's called Owl Creek Park and we are so excited to have a big park close by. Will has always been very hestitant to go down slides. I don't know why because he's not afraid to do anything else. He finally decided that he is a big boy and he's not afraid of slides anymore!

Busy Busy

School is out and we are going to live it up this summer!!! Here are a few pictures from our playdate today at Annie's house. They have a great backyard with a lots of SHADE!! Will loves his friends from church. They have so much fun together. Tyler, Annie, Brody, Jackson, Lawton, Will and baby Lauryn played and played. Will just does NOT STOP!! I would pay lots of money to have the energy he has. His newest word is please, which sounds like peash. It just makes me melt when he says it. I was chewing gum the other day and he came up to me saying peash peash peash and then made a little chewing motion with his mouth. It was hilarious and Len and I were still laughing about it tonight. He is very much into mimicking everything we do now. He has also turned into a daddy's boy in a big way. He asks for Len all day saying, " I want daddy"!

Will and Miss Theresa and my class

This is a picture of Will with his babysitter, Miss Theresa. She has been such an answer to our prayers. He will miss her so much this summer. We are so thankful for her!! Will has learned so much from her and we are so happy to have found her.

This is my job share partner and I with our sweet little second grade class on our last day of school. Overall, we had a great year and I can even say I might miss these little kiddos.

Will Dancing

I think I've finally figured out the video thing. This is Will dancing to Thomas the Train. It's better when it's different music, but it's still funny.

Happy Mother's Day

I just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful moms and moms to be. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful mom. I could sum her up with just one word. Unselfish. She is the most unselfish person I know and is always willing to put anyone's needs before her own. She is so generous and giving of everything she has. She loves the Lord and has always taught us that he comes first in our lives. She gives me the best parenting advice and I call her before I call Will's own doctor if he is sick. I'm very lucky to have her. I'm becoming more and more like her as I get older. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing! Just joking mom. There is just something about becoming a mother that makes you appreciate your own mother in a whole new light. I love you very much. Thank you for being such a great mother to us.
My grandmother is also a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her name is Christine Walker. I was named after her and it's such an honor. I don't know if I will ever live up to her name, but I try. She has 3 girls, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two more on the way. She taught Sunday school for as long as she could and has always baked pound cakes for people when they are sick. She is the type of person who always remembers your birthday, always remembers your favorite kind of food, and is a great listener. She always made me feel so good about myself. She taught me about modesty (actually drilled it in our heads) and prayed for my husband before I even knew him. She is a dedicated wife to my Papa and I love her very much!

First Shiner

This is what always seems to happen when I have an appointment to get Will's picture taken! Brooke Rainey (who is an awesome photographer by the way, I need to get a link to her website) was supposed to take Will's picture tomorrow at a portrait party. Needless to say we had to cancel. I was upstairs and Will was playing outside with Len when I heard him screaming. He was running really fast with his little push toy and tripped and fell and hit his eye on our brick patio. He kept crying and saying boo, boo, oww, oww. It looks better in these pictures but he actually has a black eye. Poor baby! I was so excited to get his pictures taken by Brooke, so I guess we will have to try again another time.

A few new pictures

Here is my sweet little boy with flowers for his mama.

Being silly! He stayed in only his diaper pretty much the entire week last week. He's not really into wearing clothes right now. I think he's inherited his mother's thighs.

Will carries his tractors and cars everywhere. He loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and I was taking pictures of him eating lunch and noticed that one of his tractors was in the middle of his plate.

He has also started saying lots of new things this week. He has not been a big talker so we are very excited about his new vocabulary. His newest phrase is "I want it" which sounds more like iwaniah. We are so proud and it beats pointing and saying uh uh uh uh anyday! We're working on "I want it please." He also loves to sing the ABC song and it's the right tune but the letters are more like A,D, ooh, E, B, T, D and he hums the whole tune. It is so cute. I'm trying to capture it on the video camera and if I ever do I will post it. I'm starting to be able to interpret his language a little bit better now and it's nice because he's so much sweeter when he can communicate what he wants.

Family Time

Will, Emma, Luke and Carter with great grandparents Nene and Papa

Cousins sitting in the swing after playing hard.

Mama Sue, Papa and Will (As you can see, Will wanted to get down and play.

Being silly with Emma.

My parents and grandparents came up for a few days and we had a great time. Will loved having them here and was very sad when they left. He got to have all the attention on him for a few days and was such a show off! We also had our cousins the Watson's over on Tuesday night. Will and Carter are exactly 2 months apart and we had so much fun playing baseball in the backyard.
