Walker and Anna

This is Walker and his friend Anna from church. They love each other and are always laughing at each other. When I pick Walker up from his Sunday School class, the teachers tell me that Walker and Anna were just laughing and laughing with each other. She is such a doll. These are the only pictures I took at our Superbowl party.

I love this boy!

Walker loves it when I put him on the windowsill. He thinks he is SO big. You can just see the mischieveness in his eyes. He likes jumping off into the pillow and says again, again everytime. He has figured out how to push the ottoman up to the windowsill and get up there himself. I hope we make it through the toddler years with no major injuries.

Bison Shirt and Popcorn

Will, my dad and Len had a boys night out and went to the Lipscomb basketball game one night when my parents were here. Will loves going to games with Len and that is their special time together. Walker isn't old enough to sit still and watch the games. We took him to one and I ended up leaving and taking him to Green Hills Mall because I couldn't keep chasing him. Will's favorite thing to do at the games is to get popcorn. My dad bought him a Bison shirt and he is SO proud of his shirt. He wore it all weekend long until we made him take it off. ha! Thanks Dad!

Papa and Sue Sue's Visit

My parents came to visit us two weekends in a row!! It was great and they helped me so much by watching the boys while I had my C&C parties. We really enjoyed their visit and the boys have missed them!

Donuts with Dads

Today was Donuts with Dads at our preschool. Len came and got to spend some time with Will and Walker in their classroom and Will made Len a little snowman and book for his office. They asked the kids questions about their dads and some of the answers were so funny. They asked how old Len was and Will got it right! Walker's teachers made each daddy a little notepad with the kids picture on it that says, I love you snow much. It was SO cute, I want one too! We love, love, love HHP and are so happy there!

B is for Bears and R is for Rainbow

Will and Jackson learned about the letter B this week. They are both in the PreK 4's program but in separate classes but they do the same things. Will has the most fabulous teachers! We love you Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Emily. They are SO creative and do such a good job with the kids. This week was all about B and bears. Today, they were asked to bring their favorite teddy bear and when they went to music class, their bears "mysteriously" disappeared. They had little clues with paw prints on them and went all over the building trying to find their bears. What a cute idea! I took a few pictures of Will and one of his best buddies Jackson after school today.

Speaking of this precious boy~he has been through SO much in the past month and we have been praying for him so hard. I just love this little boy and if you know him, you know how special he is. He had to have major abdominal surgery about a month ago and this was his first week back at school. We carpool and have missed his sweet little face on our ride home. Jackson~we are SO glad you are back and doing so well. He was proud to show me his battle scar today. We love you Jackson!

On our ride home today, we saw the most beautiful, vivid rainbow I have EVER seen. I had to pull off the side of the road to take pictures. It stretched the entire sky and it was a great teachable moment about God's promise to us.

This week

we climbed trees, played outside with Ellie, invented a new game called Bean Bag skiing down the stairs, built lots of fun things with legos, had a visit from grandparents and did many more fun things that I didn't document. We have LOVED this beautiful weather this week. Thank you Lord for the warm weather that we take for granted so often!

Build-a-Bear

My settings were off on my camera and I didn't realize it until I uploaded them so that is why everything looks so yellow. Believe it or not, this was our first experience with Build-a-Bear. My sister gave the boys gift certificates for Christmas and we decided to hold onto them since they got so much for Christmas. It has been snowing here for a few days and we were ready to get out of the house yesterday!! Will was a little confused and thought Ann Welch would be at the Build-a-Bear store which made me sad. He didn't really understand the whole gift card thing, he just wanted to see AW there. Walker didn't really get it and just thought it was fun destroying the store, but he did love the washing station. Will picked out a puppy and a Titan's uniform for his. When we got in the car to go home, he said "I can't believe I got to put my very own heart inside my puppy!" Walker "picked" (well, we picked it out for him) out the classic brown bear and we put an Alabama t-shirt on him. GO BAMA!! He slept with it last night and tonight and I think Froggie has taken a back seat. Bama Bear is his newest must have in the crib. Thank you Hilyer clan. The boys loved it!

Ellie and the boys

Since it's been so cold outside, we've been letting Ellie come in and play. Will has a soft spot in his heart for animals of all kinds. He LOVES them. He talks to them in such a sweet little gentle voice and if you have an animal at your house, you are his new favorite person. He loves his stuffed animals the most out of any toy we have. I think he would be happy to just have stuffed animals as toys. Lately he's been asking me several times a day if Ellie can come inside and play. He is so sweet to her. Walker is a little scared of Ellie, but will very timidly come up to her and you can see him getting his courage up to pet her and give her a "pat pat." We were at a friend's house for a playdate about a month ago and Walker had a little run-in with a cat. I never knew what happened because I was in the kitchen, but he started screaming and crying and saying "bite." He was trying to pet the cat and I guess it hissed at him or something because I couldn't ever find a mark on him. We still ask him, "What did that cat do to you"? and he pulls up his sleeve and says "bite" in a sad voice. It's so funny, but has made him a little bit scared of animals.

Len took this picture of Walker watching Ellie from inside. I thought it was so sweet.
