Walker and Colton
I have to tell you, with the second child, it's hard to get him together with his friends when there is an older child involved. Poor second child. The first one gets to have playdates and outings galore and when the 2nd one comes along, he just has to tag along with his older sibling and do whatever he's doing so I never have pictures of Walker with his little baby friends. Laura brought Colton over for Bunco the other night and I had to get a picture of the two of them together. All they wanted to do was play basketball. So cute!!

Swim lessons at the YMCA
We've been taking swim lessons at the YMCA for the last two weeks. It's been fun because Will's friend Frances has been taking them too. I think Julie and I have had more fun talking than the kids have had swimming. It has been a GREAT experience.
I asked Will what they were doing in this picture and he told me that there was danger and they were saving the lifeguards from drowning while they were going over the rules.
This is Will's instructor and his name is "Blade." Interesting name. Blade is a little bit of a pushover and I told him he had to get tough with Will and make him jump in. Roxy is the other teacher and she is tough and good for Will. She's the one that got him to swim by himself today. Frances is already swimming and she is so cute out there.

Proud mama
Here is my little boy jumping in the pool and swimming all by himself at swim lessons. He was so excited and told me that he went underwater. After his lessons his eyes get bloodshot and it reminds me so much of my little brother Edward. His eyes used to get that way too because he would swim all day and always open his eyes under water and Will has always looked a little like Edward.
How much
mulch, dirt and sand can a baby eat before he gets sick? I don't know the answer, but this boy sure has eaten alot of it. I sound like a broken record when I say this, but Will never ate any kind of mulch, dirt or sand so this is a new experience for me. The boy's personalities are already so different. Will was SO serious as a baby and didn't laugh much (hard to believe as silly as he is now). Walker always has a smile on his face and is always laughing and picks up on so much. He understands everything I am saying to him. I will tell him to do something that I wouldn't even think he would understand and he does it. It amazes me. We were praying before dinner the other night and Len and I looked up and he was trying to hold his hands and pray. It just melted my heart. He was bowing his head and he put his hands in little balls right by his ears. When we looked at him, he peaked up and gave us a small grin. SO PRECIOUS!!
This little cutie
came over to play with us today. We had so much fun playing in the front yard. Will asked Preston if he was two years old and he made sure to tell Will that he was "2 and a half." I asked him who Josh was and he said, Josh Tewwy. He is such a sweet little boy!

Will's MDO Program~round 2
Here are a few more pictures of the program. They sang the sweetest little songs about mother's and Will kept looking at his sweet little friend, Niamh (pronounced Neve~her parents are from England) to help him with the motions. I have a video I'm going to post too.
We have had the best experience at Jenkins Presbyterian MDO this year. Will has made such sweet little friends and he LOVES going every Tuesday and Thursday. I think we've only missed one day the whole year because we were out of town. Will has learned so many bible stories that he has been able to retain and I have a collection of the cutest art work EVER!! I may be partial but I don't think so.;) We have just LOVED Mrs. Tracy. She is such a happy, positive light for these children and we are going to miss Jenkins so much. I get choked up thinking about it. Will will go there this summer for the summer fun program and then we are going to Harpeth Hills Preschool next year where I will be teaching too!
You don't have to keep reading but I'm writing this down so I will remember. Will has a best friend named Trent and he says his name so redneck. It sounds like Treeeeent. They laugh and giggle and play all the little games that I played when I was little. He still tells me quite a bit and as long as he will tell me, I will listen. They are so "silly" together as Will likes to say and he has learned quite a bit about bodily functions from him;) They are just rough and tumble boys and I'm so glad Mrs. Tracy has a little boy who is the same way so she really understands. He tells me that they share their lunch with each other and they whisper and talk about "toots" when Mrs. Tracy isn't looking. He says his girlfriend is Scarwett (Scarlett) and she is the cutest little thing with blond hair and she always wears big bows in her hair. He will certainly miss all of his sweet new friends he's made this year.

Will's Mother's Day Program at MDO
I love this little painting Will made for us. He also made me a card decribing me. He said I had black hair, blue eyes, was older than daddy and that I weigh 4 lbs. WOW! I don't even wish I weighed that. HA He said he loves me because I make eggs for him, play with him at the train table, and read lots of books to him. I love my special boy!
Of course, I had to include a picture of Walker in this post.
My sweet friend Deanna offered to hold Walker for me so I could take pictures and videotape the production. Walker kept trying to steal my camera and was about to pitch a fit. Deanna, I think you need another one!
Will up on stage. He didn't act quite as hyped up as he did at the Christmas program, but he did do a lot of jumping and bouncing around.

I like clean babies and I cannot lie...
This is the look Walker gives us when the flash is on or when he is in deep thought about something. I can almost tell exactly what he's thinking with his facial expressions.
Mama, I'm tired of this picture stuff. I've sat still long enough!
Do you ever make up words (relating to your kids) to old rap songs. You can call me weird but sometimes I do. Most of the time I sing them in my head but I can't help belting them out from time to time. You probably think I'm crazy right about now. :)

Happy Mother's Day
I feel so blessed and lucky to be the mother of two wonderfully sweet, active boys. They have blessed my life beyond my wildest imagination and dreams. I love being a mom and I hope and pray that I can raise these two boys to be good hearted gentlemen who love the Lord. I'm also blessed to have such a wonderful mom and grandmom. They are true examples of what moms should be.

Zoo
Will was not very excited about getting his picture taken. Can you tell?
This is the first year we've ever gotten a zoo membership. We've always gone once or twice a year, but decided we would get a membership so we would be able to go for just a little while and not worry about seeing the entire zoo to pay the huge fee. We've gotten to go several times and really enjoyed it. It's been raining so much lately that we haven't gotten to go but we did go last week and had so much fun! The boys love playing in the playground and padded area. I'm ready for school to get out so it won't be so crowded with all the schools there.

Brownie lickens'
I have two boys with a sweet tooth~just like their mother. One of my favorites memories when I was little was when my mom made cookies or brownies and we would get to eat the licken's from the boy. Yes, we are from the south and we call them lickens'. I would always save a little and bring it to my dad because he loved them too.
Church Pictures
Here are a couple of pictures of Will and Walker after church a couple of weeks ago. Lately it seems like I only take pictures after church, but I'm going to try to get better. Blogging has been taking a back seat lately. I've had a hard time getting into it. It seems like we are always busy these days. We are hopefully gearing up for a nice, quiet summer, but I know it won't be quiet with two active boys.
