I love this boy!
Lots of new posts below......
Frances, Aden and Will waiting for the pony ride. How cute are these kiddos??
Giving a five to Austin.
I thought this was to cute not to post. We went to a little carnival at Will's school today and he won this Elmo by throwing a hula hoop around his neck. I love how he has his hand on Elmo's nose. He is so worn out from the day's activities.
Dana sent me this precious picture of Will, Aden and Frances waiting to ride the pony tonight. I thought it was adorable. When I told Will we were going to a party tonight he said, "Is Frances going to be there?" He also loves Aden who is a year older and talks about him all the time. I asked him what his favorite thing was at the party and he said, "Playing in the balls with Aden."
Eventful Week
Walker is swinging in style.
Playing outside, Will's favorite place to be.
Eating dinner at the Calendines.
Heather and Cash, Me and Walker, Laura and Colton at the Calendines.
We have had an eventful week. I feel like I have been the biggest slacker in going to the Y, but we have been to the doctor three different times. Will, for a rash and cough. He had to be put on an antibiotic, steroid and cream for the rash, I went to the dermatologist for a checkup and then had to take Walker to the doctor on Friday because he had been running fever for three days and I wanted to rule out an ear infection. Of course, the pediatrician said it was just a fever virus.
We have spent a lot of time at the park this week because the weather has been so beautiful. We even had a picnic in our front yard. Some days I feel like I just have to get out of the house and I need some adult interaction, but this week has been one of those where I just love being at home with my boys and I wouldn't have it any other way. Will has memory verse each week and they are learning about creation and the bible verse was "In the beginning, God created the heaven and earth." According to Will, God created the heaven and the boys. That gave me a good laugh. I was laying down with him for his nap today and he said, mommy, we have to say our prayer. We always say it at night but we never say one before nap, but it was the sweetest little prayer a boy could say and it made me feel so good. I was looking at him on the way to a party tonight and he just looked so beautiful to me and we were singing Veggie Tales together and I just wanted to take a picture of him in my mind, just the way he looked in the car and remember it forever. I was talking to the old man at the doctor's office the other day and he told me that I need to enjoy this time because one day I will look back and ache to have my babies young again. Sometimes I get so frustrated with Will when he won't mind or won't keep his hands to himself, but I'm working on really trying to enjoy him for the little things he does and not get so caught up in having the most perfectly behaved child, because one day he will be grown and I will forget about the little frustrations. I'm sorry, I know this is cheesy but this is how I feel.
We had a great weekend. It was busy but fun. Will did great in his soccer game today. I was so proud of him. He usually spends the whole time growling at the other team but for some reason he was focused today. I don't care if he scores a goal for the other team or not, I'm still proud of him!
Walker is 5 months old
At 5 months Walker
- is rolling over from stomach to back all the time *see question below
- had his first fever virus :(
- is trying to sit up
- is putting on the pounds! He weighed 18lbs 3oz at the doctor yesterday but he did have on a diaper and outfit so I think he weighes half a pound less.
- Gets really mad at Will if he touches his head. He lets him know immediately.
- Loves Will and gets excited when he enters the room.
- Coos and talks all the time.
- STILL hates his carseat! We even moved him into a bigger carseat and he still cries a majority of the time we are in the car. This is really the only time he cries.
- Is such a good, easy baby.
- Is really starting to look like Len. His lips look exactly like Lens and so does his smile and dimple.
- hasn't had any baby food so we will be introducing that in the next couple of months.

DMB
Len took Will to the Lipscomb football game tonight and he called me when they were on their way. Just to give a little background, Len is a huge Dave Matthews Band fan. The song The Best of What's Around was playing and when it was over, Will said, "Daddy, I like that song-play it again." It was monumental enough that Len had to call me. It made him proud and made me laugh to think about Will sitting in his car seat trying to sing a DMB song.

Sue Sue, Nene, and Aunt Jane
My mom, aunt Jane and grandmother came for a quick visit last weekend. We had a great time and Sue Sue was bombarded with attention from Will. He is in the "watch me" stage where he says, mommy, mommy, mommy, watch this...and he might just be standing there doing nothing but he has to make sure I am watching so I got a break from the "watch me" and Sue Sue had to be the watcher.
Poor Nene, I think Walker was getting a little to heavy.
Aunt Jane and Walker
I hate posting pictures of myself on this blog but I posted this one to show Walker's new trick with his tongue. He has started sticking it out and rubbing his gums. I keep thinking he's about to get a tooth but we haven't seen one yet. Don't think I'm crazy for thinking this, Will got his first tooth at 4 1/2 months.
Will and his adorable cousin Carter. I call him Jon Jr. because he looks so much like his daddy. He had the best time playing with his cousins. We don't get to see them very often and he loved all the fun toys.

I can't forget Walker
Scroll down for new posts....
Here is Walker at the game doing what he does best these days-chewing on anything and everything he can get his pudgy little hands on. It was so hot today, but as usual he did great. I don't mean to brag but he is just such a good baby!! Sometimes I forget he's even around because he's so good. That doesn't sound right but I'm sure all you moms with two or more know what I'm talking about. That first one gets their needs met immediately but the second is used to waiting for it so they're not as demanding as the first. Walker has a little cold and so do I. We're both in the beginning stages of it and I hope it doesn't get worse!
Game Day
Today was our first game for the yellow team. Len is coaching eleven 3 year olds in the First Pres. League. Let me tell you, it is so funny. Three year olds have a mind of their own at this age and there is nothing you can do to get them to "do" what you want. On any given day, even the sweetest toddler will have a break-down about something. I was worried about Will because the only thing he would do at our first practice was play in the dirt and sit on the bleachers. He actually wanted to play today which suprised me a little. He did kick the ball once and I heard him announce to everyone, "Yea, I did it." He also grabbed the ball with his hands and threw it into the other teams net. I think we need to keep going over the rules. He told us he was going to work really hard at his defense and he did. It was so hot today. Jackson scored two goals and James scored one. We got killed if you are the keep score type. The other team had some serious kiddos that were in it to win. I think they were all 4 and this was their second year to play. Here are a few pics from the game. Sorry this is so long, I just wanted to remember the little things.
Team Huddle before the game. I think Brody was saying a prayer.
Lining up before the game. Will is making sure everyone is doing what they are supposed to be doing. Ha ha
I love this picture. The referee is saying a prayer and Will is in the middle. We are always trying to get him to hold his hands like that and sometimes he will, sometimes he won't.
Fierce Defender
Getting a little instruction from Coach Daddy.
This and that
Lately, Will has wanted to hold Walker "standing up" so I gave him the chance and it didn't last long. After this picture he told me it was my turn. This is before our soccer practice the other day. Walker doesn't seem to mind all the love he gets from his big brother.
This is becoming a face we see alot of around here. Does anyone else recognize this?
Here are the boys in their Alabama gear at a cookout last weekend.
Will wanted to try on Walker's new winter coat after I got it in the mail. I think we have a little comedian on our hands. As Will's personality is beginning to show more and more, I am noticing that he likes a good audience and will do just about anything for a laugh. He loves being silly like his mama, which can be frustrating for his very "serious" daddy.

Football Cookout
I thought this picture was to cute not to post. Thanks Dana, I stole it from your email. We need to work on getting Will a jersey! He's the odd man out. Stay tuned for pictures from our first soccer game next weekend. It's going to be hilarious!

Walker is 4 months old
Maybe I can get my whole fist in here!
At four months Walker...
weighs 16 lbs 13 oz and is 25 inches long.
has rolled over twice from stomach to back.
is drooling lots.
sucks on his hands and fingers.
loves the Praise Baby CD.
watches everything Will does. His head goes back and forth as he watches Will run through the house. It's so funny to watch.
has tried rice cereal but Dr. Myers said we didn't have to worry with it so we won't :)
is ticklish on his tummy.
was sleeping through the night but got a little cold so he has been waking up at three. We think it has gotten to be a habit so we let him cry last night and he only cried for a couple of minutes and went back to sleep.
makes the sweetest coos and squeals.
is starting to like his carseat a little better! Yeah!
has some extra chin if you're in need of some :)
He makes us so happy. God has blessed us with our sweet Walker. He is such a delight and once again, I can't believe he is 4 months already. I feel like it was yesterday that he was born.
I was wrong on Will's weight and just changed it. He weighed a lb less than what I put before, but Dr. Myers still told me we needed to watch those empty calories Yikes!
We had Will's 3 year well visit today too. He weighed 37.75 lbs and was 38.75 inches tall. He is really my sweet, thoughtful little boy. He is so good at sharing and nuturing. He is so good to Walker and helps me tremendously when I need to get something done. He is a busy busy boy.
A few funnies...
I found an earring and a penny in my bathroom sink drain. hmm I wonder who did that?
Len was watching the boys last night while I was at Bunco and he said that he was in another room and Will came in and told him that Walker was a lady. He was a little confused so he went to check on Walker and Will had put Mr. Potato Head glasses upside down on Walker's face and several wet wipes on his head to look like hair. Len took a picture with his cell phone and one day I'm going to have to put it on here b/c it was so funny!
Will is really interested in Dinosaurs and monsters right now. He got a new book called Gruffalo and we have read it a million times.
He has also been saying "It's not fair when we make him do something he doesn't want to do. We have no idea where he got this.
This won't be funny to anyone but I wanted to document this. Whenever he gets in trouble or is uncomfortable with something he has this made up word he says to us. It's pum-pee-tum-pum-pee. I know that sounds really strange and it kind of is. He will just look at us and say, "pum pee tum pum pee" It makes us so mad but then we want to laugh. I will try to include pictures later.

Story Time
One of my favorite times of the day lately has been before Will goes down for a nap. Walker and I get in the bed with him and he will "read" Walker a book. We started doing this one day when I realized that Walker was very interested in the books we were reading and couldn't take his eyes off them. Now he reaches for the book and wants to touch everything. It is just a sweet time watching my boys interact with each other.

Walker
This child has some serious poor circulation. His feet are always cold and that's why he has these little knee socks on. He is growing and cooing and is just so much fun. Today he has been trying to sit up in his car seat. He tries so hard to lean up to he can see what's going on. He always has his eye on what Will is doing and is pretty happy as long as he can stare or play with my hand. He has the most pitiful cry when he wants to be held and I put him in his swing. He will be 4 months old a week from today and I just can't believe it. I'm glad the newborn stage is over and look forward to seeing more of his personality come out.
Last night I told Will that he had a dirty face and he said, Let me go look in the america. He meant mirror but with the Olympics going on we have been talking about America alot and I guess he got confused.
We have been enjoying our August so far. I've been going to the Y alot. I've decided it's time to get the rest of this baby weight off. Have any of you that nursed had a hard time getting those final 10 lbs off??? How did you do it? I need ideas and motivation. Weight watchers doesn't work for me, I have a hard time keeping up with all those points.

More Williamson County Fair pics
Getting ready to go into the farmer area. This was so cute. Each child got an apron and a basket and they got to do all sorts of things. They got to feed fake chickens, plant seeds, pick apples, milk a cow and so on. Heather and I were feeding Walker and Cash most of the time so I didn't see everthing. When they were finished they got an ice cream sandwhich and then got to see and feed live animals including baby pigs that were just born yesterday! They were so cute!!!!! Heather and I "loved" being compared to that mama pig feeding her babies and I kind of felt sorry for her ;) She had alot of mouths to feed.
